Welcome to my RC flight blog. I'm Erwin and this is where I document my chronicles in the RC hobby. I fly stuff. If it has wings and a radio-control link, I can fly it. I do most of my flying in South Florida - mainly Miami. I've been flying RC airplanes for many years. New Tricycle Landing Gear on Super Cub
Posted on May 17, 2010 | No CommentsAround March I started getting itchy to fly the Super Cub out of the water and back on dry land. I had been thinking of ways to attach tricycle landing gear to it and put the energy and enthusiasm I had to it. I used the rear wire from the floats, still attached to its slot, an extra Hextronik HXT900 servo in the cowl and a DuBro Nosewheel to make this happen. I put 3 Dave Brown 3-inch Lectra Lite wheels on. It turns very tightly. I flew it once but got no video of it. It lands smoothly and although take-offs are a bit rough, they work out just fine... -

HZ Super Cub Asphalt Landings and Take-offs
Posted on May 31, 2009 | No CommentsWent to the park today. Great day except for some minor winds (5MPH). Time was around 8:00 AM on May 31, 2009 at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah, Florida.
